Jellymongers Bompas & Parr

Bompas & Parr create stunning visual feasts and spectacular culinary experiences for clients such as London Festival of Architecture, the Victoria and Albert Museum, Selfridges and the Museum of Modern Art. Projects have included a walk-in chocolate waterfall. A breathable Gin & Tonic cloud and a huge punch bowl you could not only drink from, but also row across.
The duo are also Jelly-mongers for Parties, weddings and corporate events. Creating their own fantastic jelly moulds. As well as Jellies in ever possible shape, colour and flavor.... including the worlds first glo in the dark Jelly. They also make accurately detailed architectural Jellies. One of my favorites was the Jellyscape they created for Tata Naka's S/S 2011 catwalk show at London Fashion week. ( see photos )

The Deep Blue Sea (2011) - Official Trailer Terence Davies

""
I've been a huge fan of the British film maker Terence Davies ever since I saw " Distance voices, Still lives " and " The long day closes " Some people say his films are bleak and slow. But to me these films are beautiful and are full of amazing subtle details of peoples complex characters and emotional lives. They also have insightful 1940s & 50's period details of working class life in Liverpool. The stories are told to us in a series of tableaus or vignettes as if they are memories being recalled. Because these fragmented memories are often contradictory a complex story is slowly and subtly built up layer upon layer about these characters lives.
Now there is a new Terence Davies film to look forward to.  " The deep blue sea " starring Rachel Weisz and Tom Hiddstone. Its based on a Terrance Rattigan play also set in England in the 1950's. Rachel Weisz performance has had rave reviews and is said to be worthy of an oscar. I for one cant wait to see it !

Back to black, interiors trends for now & what's next for 2012

For me one of the key interiors looks/trends for the last 18 months has been black walls. High lighted with acid bright furniture and cool coloured accessories. I saw this look pushed to perfection by the British interior designer Abigail Ahern. Check out her web site... http://www.atelierabigailahern.com/   Black walls are a great way to show off my more colourful prints and art work.
Over the last six months all white interiors seem to be having a revival. Is this just been a reaction to black or will white wall's be a strong feature in the interiors of 2012 ? May be the compromise of grey will be the colour to have as many trend forecasters are predicting. Or may be colour is set to make a big return to our walls and is going to be a key trend for 2012. Again trend forecasters suggest lemon yellow will be a key colour along will grass greens and aqua blues
But for the next few weeks I'm sticking with Black !
